We bake our scones and bread for our sandwiches in house, the rest of our pastries come from scholars inn which is right down the road.
FRESH – LOCAL
Last week Papa and Mama Roux came by Strange Brew to drop off some product and discuss a coffee blend we’ve been working on for over a year. On there way over here, they stopped and gave a young man a ride to a job interview and as you all know, the story of their kind act spread like, well, like a viral facebook post! We love that they’re getting attention just for being the cool people that they happen to be.
While they’ve been busy with all the crazy media attention, we’ve been working on the coffee! So here it is, over a year in the making, two Papa Roux blends! One of them, Louisianne Swamp Water, has become a staple in the Roux household. The other, is a good old fashioned New Orleans style chicory blend, Cajun Chicory Blend!
We’re so excited about these new roasts! They’ll be available in Strange Brew starting the evening of 2/28/13 and online starting NOW! Get to the east side and get yourself a Po Boy to go with ‘em!
